Timothy P. McNulty attended the University of Southern California from 1972 to 1975 and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from California State University at Los Angeles in 1977. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) in 1981.
He worked for Kessler and Drasin, P.C. in Century City from 1981 through 1985. The nine (9) person firm changed its name to Drasin, Sparagna, Polan, Kessler and McNulty in 1984. McNulty was the partner in charge of handling the firm's personal injury clientele. Having been born and raised in Los Angeles, the traffic congestion finally caught up with him.
In 1986 he moved to Mau'i and commenced working at the Law Office of James Krueger, P.C. as a senior associate, handling significant injury and death cases. In 1989 he opened the only workers compensation and personal injury law practice in Kihei, helping not only the residents and visitors to Mau'i, but residents and visitors of all of Hawai'i.
